Although the Montecristo brand is not one of the oldest Habanos brands, it is one of the most famous and popular worldwide. It sets the standard against which many Habanos smokers measure other brands.
The name of the brand comes from the tradition of the Torcedores of the H.Upmann factory, in which Montecristo was created around 1935. This was a penchant for the famous novel "The Count of Monte Christo" by Alexandre Dumas. The brand stands for first-class cigars and cigarillos with the unmistakable Montecristo flavour.
The blends of the Linéa Clásica offer a perfect balance of medium-strength to strong aromas and are made of exquisite tobacco leaves of the Vuelta Abajo region – the cradle of the best tobacco in the world.
