Por Larranaga Cigars

With a history spanning more than 150 years, Por Larrañaga is one of the oldest Habanos brands and was probably one of the most important of all for a long time. The brand was founded by Ignacio Larrañaga, who registered the brand in Havana in 1834. Her fame quickly spread around the world. You could get them in the best hotels, clubs and restaurants on all five continents. Some even went so far as to say that the Por Larrañaga made the Habano famous. Many stories are entwined around this brand and the words of the author Rudyard Kipling, the author of the Jungle Book, have a special charm: "There is peace in a Larrañaga".

The extensive selection of formats has also been reduced over the years. But the popular formats Montecarlos, Panetelas and Petit Coronas have survived to this day. Their particularly balanced tobacco blend is the typical hallmark of this brand and the outstanding aging properties make the Petit Coronas from the 50s cabinet a special gem in every humidor.
The filler and binder leaves for the Por Larrañaga brand cigars come from the tobacco-growing zone of Vuelta Abajo. Two methods are used to make the cigars - totalmente a mano, tripa larga - long fillers made entirely by hand, and totalmente a mano, tripa corta - short fillers made entirely by hand. The short fillers also contain tobaccos from the Semi Vuelta.
