And again a premiere! For the first time in its 35-year history, 5th Avenue Products – the official sole importer of Habanos for Germany, Austria and Poland, has chosen the Saint Luis Rey brand for a format of EdiciÃ3n Regional Alemania.
The SAINT LUIS REY BELICOSOS have the format "Campana". Literally translated, it means “bell”, because this beautiful Figurado format actually reminds a little of such a sound body. A campana has a length of 140 mm and a ring size of 52. Campanas are among the classic formats of Habanos and you can find them in the standard range of Habanos as BolÃ3var Belicosos Finos, Romeo y Julieta Belicosos, San CristÃ3bal de La Habana La Punta or Sancho Panza Belicosos.
The edition of Saint Luis Rey Belicosos includes 6,000 individually numbered boxes, each containing 25 pieces of these aromatic cigars.
The boxes are typically arranged in two layers and decorated with the lithographs known in Cuba as "habilitaciones".
The Saint Luis Rey brand was introduced immediately before the Second World War. Some claim that the brand name refers to the piece “The Bridge of San Luis Rey” by Thornton Wilder, which was popular at that time. However, it is more likely that it is dedicated to the city of San Luis in the heart of the Vuelta Abajo, which still produces excellent cover pages for Habanos today. Whatever corresponds to the truth, the Habanos of the Saint Luis Rey brand enjoy an excellent reputation under aficionados due to their intense taste.
Currently, only the format “Regios” is manufactured in the standard range. It consists of insert and leafing pages of the tobacco growing zone Vuelta Abajo.
