Trinidad Fundadores

Trinidad cigars are named after the beautiful 16th-century city of La Santísima Trinidad (The Holy Trinity), located on the southern coast of Cuba and listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
As a Habanos brand, the Trinidad dates back to 1969. Like the Cohiba, it was initially made exclusively for the Cuban leadership and as a gift for foreign diplomats. It was only in 1998 that they were presented to the international public.
At first there was only one format of Trinidad - the mythical Fundadores. Later, towards the end of 2003, two more formats were added - Reyes and Coloniales. All three are "tripa larga, totalmente a mano" - completely hand-made long fillers. The formats of the Trinidad brand are all unique and not found in any other Habanos brand.

The Trinidads were created in El Laguito, the cigar factory where the Cohibas are also made. They consist of special blends of selected tobacco leaves from the best Vegas Finas de Primera (first quality plantations) of the Vuelta Abajo region and are known for their variety of classic aromas.
