The “1878 Capa Oscura” comes across as dark as dark chocolate. The dark Sun Grown from Ecuador not only looks good, it also brings a certain strength, but also an intense sweetness. Like all other 1878 series, the »1978 Capa Oscura« is adorned with a perfectly executed »pigtail«. An H-2000 from the Dominican Republic is used as the binder and encases Dominican Corojo tobaccos from the leaf stages Seco and Ligero. The sweetness of the Oscuro wrapper is beautifully complemented by intense earthy notes and a hint of leather.
