The “1878 Capa Oscura” is dark like dark chocolate. The dark Sun Grown from Ecuador not only looks good, it also has a certain strength but also an intense sweetness. Like all other 1878 series, the “1978 Capa Oscura” is adorned with a perfectly executed “pigtail”. An H-2000 from the Dominican Republic is used as the binder and covers Dominican Corojo tobaccos from the Seco and Ligero leaf levels. The sweetness of the Oscuro wrapper is wonderfully complemented by intense earthy notes and a hint of leather.
A sweetness reminiscent of brown sugar is beautifully balanced by earthy and leathery notes. Furthermore, aromas of freshly cut oak delight the palate.
