Cavalier Genève was founded by Sébastien Decoppet, a native of Geneva, Switzerland, who spent a few years in Danlí, Honduras in his early twenties. There he gained his knowledge and skills in the complex processes of cigar production, working with, among others, Adin Perez. Over the course of numerous encounters, he got to know people like the Honduran artist David Rojas. In addition to becoming a close friend of Cavalier Genève's family, David created the horse and man design that eventually became the brand's logo. Eylin Decoppet also contributed with her hands to the creation by creating the iconic golden diamond pattern that today characterizes the appearance of Cavalier Genève. The brand took shape and initially flourished in Switzerland before eventually making its way to various parts of the world.
