The CAO Amazon Basin is known for its unique character and explosion of aromas that unfold in the enjoyment of this great cigar. Praised all over the world, she is now returning with another dimension. Due to the limited resources compared to conventional tobacco, we can only offer this cigar every 2 – 3 years in limited quantities. The over one-year maturation of these cigars brings the connection between the tobaccos to a whole new level. The center is the Bragana tobacco from Brazil. The so-called Bragana-ta tobacco is organically cultivated on pristine tropical soils and harvested only every three years. The seedlings are planted directly into the soil, a whole meter apart, so that the harvest, compared to other tobacco plants, is not even half that large. The leaves are rolled by hand into tubes, so-called “Carottes”, in which they undergo a natural fermentation for over six months. They are then transported by canoe from the rainforest and taken to the CAO factory in EstelÃ3, Nicaragua, to the mainland. There, the CAO-Blender focuses on the aromatic Bragana leaf, surrounded by tobaccos from four different countries. Enveloped by a strong Ecuadorian Sumatra cover sheet, with a Nicaraguan leaf and a touch of Nicaraguan leaves in the insert, the CAO Amazon Basin tastes exactly as exotic as the tropical rainforest from which it originates. This medium-beared CAO cigar offers a caramel note with salty nuances for an adventure in the unexpected.
