Peterson Irish Harp 606
This series, polished in the traditional Chestnut finish, is finished with a handmade sterling silver ring that the Irish harp adorns. This pipe is rounded off by a colour-coordinated acrylic mouthpiece in Cumberland optics.
The instrument is of particular importance. Harp players enjoyed a high reputation. Both with the people and the royal houses. Stories and poetry were musically accompanied by enchanting sounds. The bards sat at the same table with the kings, often they were also important advisers of the kings on social and political issues. When the English later conquered the island, the Irish harp was a thorn in their side as an expression of Irish lifestyle. The Lord protector Oliver Cromwell read in the 17th century not only to destroy monasteries and ports, but also all Irish harps. The harp is therefore not only an expression of resistance, but also the fulfillment of the desire for long-awaited independence. It is a symbol of returning to Irish customs.
