Wagemut was very fascinated by the result of their barrel aging and chose the best barrels to create a series the likes of which the world has never seen before.
Their second inspiration was their passion for good cigars and their desire to develop the right rum to go with them. The result is the "Aficionado Collection". They don't want to put too much emphasis on the perfect match for the cigar, as the rum speaks for itself and doesn't need a cigar. We are very proud of all three products in the collection, but the Maduro in particular is a true masterpiece. This is also the product whose production style is based on the 2021 Special Edition - the highly sought-after bottling from back then, which is so popular that it has already been auctioned on eBay for ten times the price... They have even surpassed the 2021 edition!
